ANZBCPS 2025 Board Certification is a new standard of excellence in cosmetic plastic surgery that aims to recognise registered Plastic Surgeons who have completed pre-requisite training through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and who comply with ongoing education and regulations specific to cosmetic surgery.

The purpose of ANZBCPS's Board Certification is to provide confidence to patients that the Plastic surgeon:

• has completed a Fellowship in Plastic Surgery with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS)
• is registered as a Specialist Plastic Surgeon by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• practices cosmetic surgery to the highest possible standard
• is a member of the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) or the New Zealand Association of Plastic Surgeons (NZAPS)
• has demonstrated a commitment to continuous education, including those specific to cosmetic surgery
• operates in accredited facilities licensed for cosmetic surgery and ensures highest standards of patient safety.
