The eyebrows can sag with age, contributing to a tired appearance. A browlift can reposition the brows to their original position, resulting in a more alert and youthful appearance.
Usually, an incision is concealed within the hairline or just above the brows. The undersurface of the brow is then elevated and secured to deeper, unmoving tissues. In some cases, the underlying frontalis muscles are also tightened. Quite often the brows can be reshaped subtly but effectively with anti-wrinkle infections before the more invasive brow lift surgery is contemplated. A brow lift can be combined with blepharoplasty and a face lift for a complete facial rejuvenation.
